The point is not to make enemies, but to stand up for something you believe in...

I receive regularly complaints from different Business and SME Owners here in Limerick about one specific "thing". A good few of them had bad experiences with certain Marketing and Digital Marketing companies offline (based in Limerick and County) and online, and then these business owners paint us all with the same brush. Hmm...

I can understand their frustration and anger, especially after having a comprehensive chat with them and seeing where these certain companies have charged and overcharged them, as we would say 'through their ears' for certain things (services) that are very simple and straightforward.

I couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore, and I feel embarrassed about the whole thing because it makes it hard for a decent marketing company like ours (@Digital Locker) to approach businesses that were already "played for fools" by these other agencies.

So the business owners today are very careful, get very annoyed and don't trust those that they should when it comes to Marketing and Digital Marketing and they are afraid to invest and improve their business and promote it online, due to bad experiences which have already occurred.

This is why I take every single chance to meet and greet these business owners face to face, to have chat with them and show them we are not all the same and there are decent companies out there who are working hard on helping others to do well, without charging or overcharging them. During these meetings, I always explain and educate these potential clients about marketing and digital marketing, what and how to do and how to deal with their current marketing "hick up's" and where to push forward.

I make sure they go away happy with a full understanding and with a knowledge that Digital Locker and myself are always here if they need anything.
